How to Add Service Area Maps on Your WordPress Website

I already showed you how to setup a google maps API key for your WordPress website, now I’m going to show you how to add in service areas and locations to your Google Maps.

If you are a service providing company then defining the areas you serve is important for your business and provides your customers valuable information. It is recommended to add a service page that lists towns, cities and zip codes or areas you serve. It also helps in creating a visual reference for your visitors, which this map will do for you.

This is one of the easiest ways to add service area maps on your website. I have used this plugin called Huge-IT Google Maps to set up this feature.

In this video we will be covering the following:

  • Setting up your location and zooming options
  • Walkthrough of all the options available in this plugin
  • Setting up markers and defining your locations
  • Defining your service areas using shapes like circle or polygons and changing colors
