Design a web page

There are basically two ways to make a web page. The first way is to create the page(s) offline and then upload them to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) via FTP. The second way is to create your web page(s) online using a Telnet program by accessing your UNIX account, if you have one.

If you are creating your web page(s) offline, do so in any text editing or word processing document. Make sure that when you save your document, you save it as a "text", "plain text" or "text only" document. Otherwise it will not be read properly by a web browser. Once you have created your page(s), you will need to contact your ISP about how to go about uploading them to your server.

The most memorable elements of a web page are often the graphics. In order to use graphics on your page, you must consider how to acquire them and also understand the file formats and limitations dictated by the web.

What about you? Share more ideas which are helpful for web page designing.

RE: Design a web page
Well I have just read this all of the infomration and I just want to say that the easiest way to write correct HTML and CSS is to use an HTML editor that writes it for you. But there can still be errors so according to me validation helps keep your pages perfect.

RE: Design a web page
While designing any web page make sure that your visitors can read the text on the background and it is a good idea to open links to other websites in a new window rather than in the same window. Large images annoy people because it takes too long to download so Keep images small for your web page.

RE: Design a web page
Lots of hosting companies offer software and/or templates with their services, which may be much easier for the beginner. Do people still design web pages using test editors? Brings me back.

On the subject of text, I can't stand white or bright text on black backgrounds. After reading this for a while, I see text in my vision when I look away.
