VTF Texture Plug-in

Hi, I'm new user and i'm already posting a new thread ^^ sorry

by the way I'd like to modify .vtf files but im encountering some problems...

first of all, I'm using 3D Max 10 and Windows 7 x86

it's "3D Studio Max VTF Texture Plug-in - Use VTF textures in 3DS Max"

I followed the Read me instructions but it seems that it doesn't work at all, infact I've copied both of the files but then, when i try to open a file, it doesn't list the "Valve Texture Format .vtf" or something like that, can someone please try this plug-in for me? I'd really like to modify these kind of files.

Oh and by the way my profile shows an American Flag, but I'm Italian...why? ^^

The plugin is only for up to max 2009.
Does max give you a warning on startup about the plugin not working?

Now it is 2011 . Is it working right now?
