Does anyone know how the phone booth works? If so, why are people not filling the positions when you call them?

This part should be easy, but people are just not clicking on their home pages.

The calls do NOT post to the recipient's news feed on the home page. They go to the recipient's wall.

The best answer I have for you is... the phone booths don't work.
Not really.
They should post to your friends wall, and then your friend should click on the post, and you should get credit.
However, you will see that many times, people will say to call them back in 4 hours, even though you never called them.
Then, you will try to send posts, but they won't ever actually go through.
Then, when one of your well meaning friends tries to click on it, they will get "Sorry. All the bonuses have already been claimed" - I got this about 50 times today.

Some people have had some success with writing to zyngas customer support to complain. Usually, however, you need to start out with a really good threat, like "I am a paying customer (i'm not, so oops) and I'm going to quit if you don't fix this!"
