Cafe world - Gid's? How do you use them?!

I have checked here and other great sites with no luck in finding out if there is a way to get the items in the bronze shop. Any luck figuring out how to manipulate it so we can get them without all the asking.

The GID's for the bronze stove shop i not working for me either.

GIDs never work for the collectible portions of quests. They are on a different gifting system from the regular quests. I know it sucks especially bad when the ask part isn't working right. Now if Z would fix it or add this game to the zynga site then all would be good I think.

So why do people list the GIDS for items we cannot possibly get without asking for?

Because you can use them to send the item to a friend, who can then send it back to you- haven't worked out how yet, as i haven't needed to.

How do we get a person's ID now that they've changed to timeline?

Her`s a way to find your id#:


Go to facebook, click on your NAME on the news feed. you will see your vanity id (most likely)

The URL will look like this:

http://www.facebook.com/your vanity name

put your cursor on the www and delete the three w's and replace with the word "graph"

so your URL looks like this:

graph.facebook.com/your vanity name

THEN HIT ENTER

It takes a few seconds, but then you get THIS:


"id": "100000040",(fake number)
"name": "your name",
"first_name": "your first name",
"last_name": "your last name",
"username": "your vanity name",
"gender": "your gender",
"locale": "en_US"

You can know your friends # by using the same format. Just go on your friend's main page and do the same thing as listed above. Hope this helps.

Help , i got my friends ID number pasted it like this https://apps.facebook.com/cafeworld/accept_request.php?action=accept_gift&from=546713113&gid=7134&time=1303050403 and 7134 is the item number i press enter and it says " Uh oh We're sorry but it seems that something went wrong in the kitchen! " What did i do wrong?

Well since I've added the GID's to the site the curious bone in all of you has become active and everyone's been asking the same question how do these things work?!
