What do people think of the header, time it takes to load the appearence of it etc

Reasons for changing, by order of importance:

1. People using dialups or slow connections visit the site often.
2. Bandwidth usage.
3. Adjusted to background of site.

hmm, you flash is kinda screwed in internet explorer for me...
anyways you could make the header look better
and i think its better when there is no sound...

I've checked it in IE is working perfectly fine.

Will add a background to it maybe if i get the time..

The old one was much better, adapt the background, not the header.

And as for the bandwith: Make a "light" version of this site, and possibly remove the header on forum.

I was hoping for someone to say something like this..

Actually if I made a different light version for other users, it would increase my bandwidth load as google will end up going through those thousands of pages too.

The header will be back, depending on the new server's speed which I am trying to acquire to run my sites, since it has unlimited bandwidth, I am keeping in mind that it might not be as fast as this server, IF it is as fast as this one (Hopefully, got my fingers crossed) IF NOT.. I'll make this one more attractive and keep it sleek.

Keeping the flash header light has saved me a lot of bandwidth and I am pretty comfortable keeping a header of this size on the header of the forum too.

Any suggestions on how to make it look better would be helpful, I have a few ideas in my mind and will apply them to it later and see the result. Meanwhile, if anything pops up in mind that would suit this header, let me know.

The last 13 reviews I got on this site said, that its Fast, Looks Complete and Organized unlike before. So, as far as I can tell, for someone who had not seen the header before this header is doing great.

I'd like to keep this discussion open. There can always be more improvements.

You could make it non-seo friendly.

Simple, make the Lightlink un-browsable by the google bot, you can even configure the google bot not to browse through the "Light" thingys !

And to improve this one: you COULD add some text popping in.

Such as the little banner of yours, would fill things up.

I was thinking of adding a nice background to it? Lets see..
